Company Overview:

CardioVascular Devices & Imaging, LLC was formed in 2014 for the purpose of the advancement of device and imaging technology for evaluation and management of cardiovascular disease. The company was founded by Albert J. Sinusas, who serves as the Chief Science Officer, in order to develop and translate novel multimodality and molecular imaging approaches for evaluation of cardiovascular disease, image directed intervention procedures, and devices for management of patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases.

Targeted cardiovascular applications include:

  • Evaluation and management of ischemic heart disease and myocardial infarction
  • Evaluation and management of hypertrophy and heart failure
  • Evaluation of cardiomyopathies
  • Evaluation of patients at risk for atrial and ventricular remodeling and arrhythmias

Company News:

CVDI, LLC has recently partnered with MicroVide, LLC a startup venture based in South Carolina for the licensing, development, and translation of imaging agents targeted at in vivo imaging matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activation for the evaluation and management of ischemic heart disease and myocardial infarction.
